Cacao Gin Liqueur

Building on the success of the initial limited edition Cacao Gin Liqueur in 2021, Tanglin Gin aimed to integrate this variant into its core liqueur range. The project objective was to create a core label design (non-limited edition) that fits within the existing family of Tanglin gin liqueurs, including ‘Singapore Moonshine' and 'Triple Tangerine’, while giving each product a unique identity. The label design’s unique shape highlights the Cacao letters, making it easier for consumers to distinguish variants while maintaining a cohesive design language across the range. The design also emphasises the craftsmanship and the premium quality of the product.

The label design for Tanglin Cacao Gin Liqueur is a visual feast, with intricate details that tell the product’s unique story and enhance its brand message. This new addition enchants industry professionals and home bartenders, offering a premium, eco-conscious liqueur with a distinctive edge. The use of brown and gold tones evokes classic visual sustainability cues, enhanced with a premium touch reminiscent of the gold foils wrapped around chocolate bars. The side label designs showcase the ideal serving suggestion on one side and the product’s sustainability story of “Bean to Bottle” on the other. The pangolin, chosen as the product’s mascot, is a unique visual anchor and storytelling element. The pangolin was selected as it is a protected native animal in Singapore. This also aligns with Tanglin Gin’s tradition of highlighting key native creatures within the gin liqueurs range. By incorporating the intricate details of the cacao tree and the pangolin, the label tells a playful story of the product's journey and highlights the sustainability aspect as well as the artisanal nature of the liqueur. ⁠
